Apple Caramel Upside-down Cake

Hey Lovies! My hubby had bought a big bag of Apples. We love apples! So I decided to bake a cake for my beautiful family. And I must say it came out Delish! Hope you enjoy my recipe of this delicious treat.

INGREDIENTS
Topping
¼ cup unsalted butter
½ cup light brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon             2-3 cloves                                                 4apples (peel, cored, thinly sliced)

Cake                                                         2cups all-purpose flour 

1 teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup Coconut oil
⅔ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon almond
½ cup milk

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 inch cake pan well with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

To make the topping:
Add the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir well until the mixture is completely melted. Remove from the heat, pour the mixture into the prepared cake pan, and evenly spread it on the bottom. Arrange the apple slices in an even layer on top. Set aside.

To make the cake:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat the coconut oil and sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Slowly add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Add the almond and mix until fully combined.
Mix the dry ingredients and milk into the wet ingredients. Pour the batter into the cake pan on top of the apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan before flipping over onto your cake dish. Delish! Top with Whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy 😆
